Hull City Hall, Victoria Square, Hull

The foundation stone for Hull City Hall was laid in 1903 by Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales. The building was completed and first used in 1909. During the second world war, Hull was badly bombed. The City Hall was damaged and closed to the public in 1941. It remained closed until 1950. The venue accommodates up to 3000 people for clasical and popular music concerts, theatrical and other performances.
