Queens Gardens, Hull

Queens Gardens are on the site of Queens Dock, the first dock to be built in Britain outside the capital. Queens Dock was officially opened in 1778 and it remained in service until 1930. After Queens Dock closed its lock gates for the last time, 4 years of landscaping produced Queens Gardens.
